There is a German submarine from WWII that you can tour at the Museum of 
Science and Industry in Chicago. I went thru with my dog guide with no 
problems. First you experience a movie on how the sub was captured, and the 
German code books retrieved, around 1944. Then you go thru the sub, seeing 
the elegant quarters for the captain, and the bunk beds of the crew, the 
navigation, torpedo, propulsion, etc, parts of the sub.
