The NAGDU list of guide dog schools and training programs can be found at
http://nagdu.org/schools.

While the information is not current (for now), it may be a starter point to
find a list of schools.  Much of it won't have changed, although as
Webmaster I so totally need to get it *all* current...  Once I finishing
crossing off higher priority items on my website to do list.  /grin/  I
finally have things set up so that I can do said crossing off quickly, and
the more I do the more quickly I can do more.  Having a lot of fun finally
getting there!

How about this:  While you and others are working on your end with the full
consumer report project, I do my other updates and web stuff, then check in
with you about getting the updated basic information you find in the course
of doing your project.  At this point, I'm just talking about the political
neutral stuff like name, mailing address, contact info, basic policies (like
the ownership policy), etc.  Just the facts, ma'am.  /grin/

When we're ready to start adding the final product to the website, then you
can call the geek in the corner to do the geek thing to it.  /grin/  I did
find out a way to define geek in general without resorting to slang...
Non-neurotypical.  How cool is that?

Back to topic:  When I get my geek thing whipped into shape on the website,
I'll get in touch to see where you can use me.  Until then, I will sit on
the sidelines and cheer loudly...

Oh, wait.  That would make me a cheerleader.  D*mn it, Jim!  I'm a geek, not

I like your approach in bringing this to the next level.  I am sure it will
be a worthwhile project after all of the details are hammered out.
Presenting this to a board of our peers is excellent and I have no doubt
they will give you feedback to shape this into a project that goes beyond
what you initially imagined.  I did just post something to Julie, so please
even glance at the www.deltasociety.org pages to see if they might have
anything even close to the concept you are considering.

As suggested, I have discussed the concepts related to a consumer
satisfaction survey and a resource providing information on guide dog school
policies with Marion.  The result is that we will discuss this topic at the
next Board of Directors meeting on Sunday 8/28/10.
