[nagdu] a couple questions

Yeah, dobie is tops on my favorites list. They really seem to have a lot of
the traits that I value most in my poodle, and in shepherds. Just not so
expensive with the grooming, and with a fearsome rep. Poodles can actually
be quite mean, especially if their energy and super sensitive, high strung
temperaments aren't aren't handled well. Also, I guess some are just born
with anxiety problems or whatever. It's just that everyone thinks of the
poodle as a frou frou show dog with crazy hair, so unless they've actually
known real poodles, they just assume Mitzi is an animated stuffed animal.
/smile/ Especially when she gets a bit on the woolly side between cuts.
Those exotic, nearly black eyes of hers peering brightly out of the curls on
her face do remind one of a teddy bear, I guess. People almost *have* to
touch it. Sigh.

So every now and then I tell Mitzi I'm going to replace her with an ugly,
vicious scurvy cur. She grins and wags her tail while doing her laughing
step. /lol/

I think dobies are absolutely gorgeous, but their reputation precedes them.
Also, they have that intensity of gaze like a German Shepherd. When a dobie
looks you in the eye, you stay looked at! You also stay where the dobie
told you to stay. Mitzi's eye contact seems to have a whole lot of come
hither so that I can caputure your soul through eyes going on. When she's
really sending out her poodle mojo, the most hardened of hearts will melt
into goo with a single look and wag from her. Good grief!

I've been told she can have pretty effective "back off" look when she wants
to, and sometimes it appears she does have her game face on. She's just
such a happy creature that she's more likely to walk along grinning and with
her tale wagging. Miss Congeniality, she is. /smile/

Tami
Come to Ohio and go to Pilot dogs. I read they train dobermans. Only
thing, it is really cold in the winter.
