[nagdu] a couple questions

Jordan,
I can appreciate that they may say they will not but the only real
protection one has is what is written in the contract. Although a verbal
agreement is as binding as a written one, from an evidentiary perspective,
the written agreement is easier to prove. If a written agreement says one
thing and a verbal agreement says another, a signed written agreement will
carry the most weight. In civil cases, the burden of proof only requires a
preponderance of evidence - whichever side has the most evidence in their
favor wins!
I feel the only way a dog should be removed by a training program is if
there is objective, third-party evidence of abuse or neglect and through a
due process. Unfortunately, most of the training programs agreements I have
read give the program the absolute right to repossess the dog without
either! This allows the program to arbitrarily remove a dog and for no
better reason than they just don't like you! If anyone thinks this wouldn't
happen, think again!

Fraternally yours,
Marion
