Hi Marion. Your German Shepherd,Sarge sounds wonderful! I am sure with your
training background, you will have a wonderful guide dog. I think the name
sounds perfect for a Shepherd.I have given my Huskies,Lakota names as I am
half Lakota .I have Tokala, which means small gray fox,Wanagi Tate, pronounced
Won ah gee Tah tay, which means Spirit Wind. Also Tunyan, pronounced Toon
yon, which means Brat and Wakinyan Nis Nala, pronounced Walk in yon Neesh Nah
lah, which means Alone in Thunder. Nala's name when I got her was Pepper. I
had to change that! When I got Shaman, his name was Fritz. Nick was working
with another dog named Fritz and I really did not care for the name so I
changed it . I wanted a name that was fitting for a Shepherd, something
special and unusual. A Shaman is a magical healer and I decided that was a
good name for him.I like to name my dogs unusual names that are not very
common. My Border Collie came with the name Maximus and I liked it so I
didn't change it.Owner training gives me the privledge of naming my own
dogs. I don't have to worry about getting a dog with a name that I don't
like. Although, most of the guides belonging to the people on this list,
have quite wonderful names! Have a great day, Mardi and Shaman and
Nala,retired.
