[nagdu] Anti-discrimination or diversity policies of guide dog schools

Hi folks who work for guide dog programs,
I was talking to a blind transsexual who wishes to get a guide dog.  She asked me if I knew about the diversity policies of the schools but I didn't know the answer.

Has any of the schools had a transsexual or transgender student and how was it handled?  

Was a male to female housed with the women or was she made to be housed with the men?  And female to male housed with women or men?

How were they treated in regards to respectful treatment as the rest of the students?

I'm also going to ask this on some of the other blindness lists as well. Hope to hear something on this so I can pass it along to this person.  Thanks.
