Oh yes, it's very emotional! It's a bit hard to imagine it unless you've
experienced it yourself.
Warning: Be prepared to feel very overwhelmed by all sorts of emotions, and
also be prepared to feel a bit daunted by the prospect of not using a cane
to feel your way around... because it's so very different with a guide dog!
It does get better and easier as you get used to the dog though, and then
most people come back with, "Why did I ever have to use a cane?" Not to hurt
anyone's feelings... Just speaking from experience as a guide dog user.
