[nagdu] Books about guide dog schools

The Seeing Eye wouldn't turn a person away if he/she could not afford the
fee; but most often because of their leniancy on how much you pay at a time,
people can pay. Also, early on the students were called, Miss, Mr., Miss,
and only recently did that change. The premise of this was that for many
this was the first place wheere they had been treated with respect.

Thanks cindy, I knew when I put it down it did not sound right when I read
it back. I like you think that paying something for our dogs when and where
able would help validate and empower us and our dogs. I may suggest just an
option to the foundation I got my dog from. But I hope that people are not
turned away because of an inability to pay. Maybe my blind spot could start
a grant or scholarship for this to help others not as financially fortunate
as some of us seem to be. I will approach david Andrews for sure. peace.

The Seeing Eye, while they charge the fee, also will allow you to pay it on
insstallments, and each additional dog is $50. I guess you'd say future dog.

This is amazing since the fee was set when the school was founded and is the

same today. I would gladly pay more, so I should donate more.

If y'all want an LGBT Group, talk to David about starting one. Not sure how
one goes about it, but you should be able to do that.

BTW, I think that book is "Walking Alone, Marching Together." Yes, it is in
print.
