Dear Toni,

Your post brought tears to my eyes because I identified with your 
pain.  My husband Ed had a stroke in Oct. and there were times where 
understanding his speech was impossible.  I hope Bill get the rehab 
he needs to improve and come home.  Ed did not make it and died on 
Oct. 25 after a second stroke destroyed most of his brain.

Like Hazel, my guide Keebler and Ed's guide Latrell did well during 
the long hours of visits.  The hospital where Ed stayed has a therapy 
dog program, so everyone was used to seeing canines in the hallways, 
cafeteria and patient rooms.
