I just got back from a family reunion in Idaho. We live in New
Orleans where it is already high summer. It still gets into the 40's
at night in Idaho, most unfortunately.
It was only Laveau's second cross-country flight and her first flight
on one of those little puddle jumper planes. She basically slept
through everything.

I am Deafblind and have meniere's disease which is causing a great
deal of vertigo. I'm doing physical therapy for it but progress is
slow. I was wondering how I'd do on this trip, but Laveau was a champ.

New Orleans is below sea-level and is sort of flat. Idaho has hills
which I'm not used to and Laveau did awesome work helping me balance
on them.
She did get some tennis ball time with my sister's dog and she's warn
out. It's almost been two years since I adopted her from the inner-
city shelter where she was scheduled to be euthanized because she'd
been there for so long and nobody wanted her.
She is such a fantastic dog. Also I think she is finally done
growing, which is awesome.
I'm about to take my Canine Massage Therapist exam for certification.
She has been my Massage Dummy-- letting me experiment on her.
Learning on a Doberman has spoiled me since all of her muscles are so
prominent. I hope everyone and their dogs are having a great summer!
