AnnaLisa,

Yeah, I'm missing it again this year, too. I still would love to meet you
now that my sweet adorable -- I mean snarky monster -- poodle has learned to
mind her manners around other guide dogs. /smile/ She still wants to
greet, of course, but has decided to forego the vocals. Whew!

Ah, well. When I do get there again, I'll decide whether or not she comes
with. Either way, would still love to meet you and your Sunny girl.

Hi Julie M,

I won't be at convention this year but have been to several. My dogs have
both done well at conventions. My first dog Megan considered it a challenge;
she was a real go getter. My current dog Sunny is a very laid back and
mellow temperament and just goes with the flow, wherever it takes us.
<smile> Like some others, she always wants to say hi to every dog we meet,
but I can get her on task again right away so it's not a huge problem. She
doesn't mind canes, except when someone is walking along and not paying
attention at all and plows right into us. What annoys me is that more often
than not, the person who plows into us thinks it's my dog's fault. Mostly
though people are nice, and if we do collide, we both apologize and go on
our way. I try to keep her on as regular a schedule as I can in regard to
feeding and relieving times, and give her down time when she's acting like
she's had enough. If that means having to sneak away early or arrive late,
so be it. It happens whether you have a dog with you or not. There are
just so many things going on all the time, you can't be everywhere at once.
People drift in and out of meetings and general session all the time.
Though if you leave general session early, you might miss winning a door
prize. <grin>

AnnaLisa and Sundance
