Hi, Linda, sometimes it's kind of like the fleas become resistant to the
stuff and you have to change to one of the other brands and then alternate
occassionally.

Subject: [nagdu] Frontline Top Spot

Hi everyone,
I recently heard some reports about how Frontline Top Spot for fleas and
ticks is no longer working for fleas. Has anyone heard of this problem with
this product.

I've been using Frontline for over ten years. Yesterday, while at a dog
program at the Naval hospital, someone saw three very much alive fleas on
Landon. I put the Frontline on him on this past Tuesday. A friend of mine
applied Frontline to her dog and later fleas were found on her dog - very
much alive fleas. From what I hear, Frontline still kills ticks but the
fleas have become resistant to the product.

My friend's vet no longer uses that product - they are now using something
called Comfortis, a flea product that the dog takes in a chewable pill form.
Has anyone heard of Comfortis and if so, how does it work for you.

I need to find something that will kill the fleas as my sister and I are
very allergic to flea saliva - We get the "hot spots" instead of the dog!

Lyn and Landon
