I got mine at the NFB convention in dallas in 2008 and the darning the top of it came off and then it just fell apart.

I've never seen the telescopic cane come apart. Oh my! You do have to make
sure it is really un-telescoped before taking off. I remember how pleased
Dr. Jernigan was with the telescoping NFB cane!
