Well, first off, nothing is going to happen. If there is a problem, it isn't likely to start before you get there. It will have already caused a lock down. Second, if you are allowed to go there, then the dog should be allowed, I would think. It has then become public in that you are public and being allowed to come there. I can't imagine there would be laws prohibiting it. I think the only time I've been to a prison with a dog I did not go to a high security area.
