Marion,

Thankyou for the information. I haven't heard officially if they will just
plain out deny me access, but I am not going to let them. My Step FIL is
politically connected in the state of PA. He is going to make a few calls,
and see what sort of response we will get. I will let you know what happens.

I really hate that I have been put in such an awkward position. I want to go
on this trip, and maybe to some I am being stupid. I don't think it is right
of them to deny me access. I could not take my guide, but that poses a
question, why not take her? Or I could go on the trip, take my guide. Get
there, and then if they deny me, then they deny me. If they do, and then I
am not permitted in, what do I do for those hours? And neither do I want to
cause a scene infront of the other students. But neither do I want to have
the trip cancelled just because of me. 

If you have found any information in regards to this, please let me know.

    Since the trip is only four days or so off, I would get in touch with 
the highest ranking official you can with the Department of Corrections - or

whatever the name of that agency might be in your state - explain the issue,

and ask them to call the DOJ Hotline at (800) 514-0301 to get some guidance 
on this issue because you intend to visit the prison and don't want any 
problems. Document the request by either sending it in email or, my 
preference, following up with an email about the pertinent details of the 
conversation. If you need some assistance, please feel free to give me a 
call at 813-626-2789.
