[nagdu] Issuing dogs at 18 months - is it too young?

My first dog was sixteen months when i got her, and my current guide was
eighteen months. I've never experienced any difficulties because of their
ages. Sure, we had our challenges, but I'm not convinced they would have
been any less if the dogs had been older.

I do know what you mean about certain dogs though. Some just aren't ready at
so young an age. I think it's really important that the school evaluate the
dogs carefully before putting them out. Luckily, GDF has done a fabulous job
of this for me so far.
