Buddy, 
I don't disagree with you. I agree very much with your post stating that at first, all our dogs have is us. 
As Tami said though, the rules as laid out by the programs do not allow much if any wiggle room when "stuff" happens.

I think there's probably something to that, Rebecca. Although, I stand by saying that it's still important to do these things in the beginning to help establish that bondin the first place.
