Stepper,

Please be encouraged about getting well enough to get another guide dog. 
There was a fellow in our fall guide dog class that had to convalesce  for, 
I want to say a sum of 35 years. He and Valor are doing excellent. 
Seriously, I'll let you know when the fellow's book comes out.
