Regardless of what the dog breed, it's always the  owner who ends up being 
"the naughty dog master" verses the dog.
Odie is a hybrid German black lab whose mouth is powerful enough to do some 
serious dangerous.
Still, I'm able to keep on top of him and get after him if I feel he 
attempts to do something that he really shouldn't be doing.
I figure my rule of being a dog handler/owner or user is take full 
responsibility for the dog like a human kid.
To me, Odie is considered a kid, but with a thick fur coat, four legs, a 
large hard head and four heavy paws.
