Hi Dar.
Is he all right?  Sounds potentially serious.
Maybe you could cover the fertilizer with a mulch, or use a liquid.  Dogs,
ay?  You never know what they'll want to eat.  Ben likes to chew my bark
mulch, especially when it's new.
