    Hi, Sheila,
I feel that frustration as well and completely understand.
After a while, having people continuously do that to me can get on my last 
nerves, especially the grabbing part.
It also occurs when I've had to use my walker on the days when my arthritis 
can get really bad.
I usually smile and tell them, "Well better the cane or my walker to hit the 
object than myself."
