Well, it wouldn't be like off leash play, but you could do a little brief
tug or bone chew type thing. It's a matter of finding what will motivate
the dog, particularly in a situation where the dog is fearful, so making it
a little fun works for some dogs. I haven't used play conditioning with any
of mine, but I know handlers who have with good success.
