Hi,

I'm also a fan of Petflow. And, if you're using Petflow, get yourself a referral link, because if someone uses your referral link, you get paid. It's a pretty good deal for not doing anything :-)

Yes, the price is higher, but as Julie says, the shipping makes up for it, and makes the over all cost lower. And their customer service is fantastic. They sent me a bag of dog food, and the Fedex dropped it (at least that's what it looked like) into a big puddle of water. The box was clearly repackaged, and the Fedex people used two boxes taped together, which isn't what Petflow does, so it was pretty obvious that it was repackaged. And the bag was still very, very damp. Damp enough that you could tell that the bag was absolutely soaked at some point. Well, I called Petflow and told them about what happened. Even though the food inside the bag looked OK, and the bag was placed such that the food was all away from the wet spot, Petflow immediately dispatched a replacement at no charge. They didn't even wait for confirmation or a written explanation, even though they asked for one for their records. That's service.

BTW, I was feeding Canidae, but I switched to Earthborne Holistics. There was a review that was very, very positive about it. I wa looking at it and also at Taste Of the Wild, which also got excellent reviews. Both were somewhat cheaper than Canidae and also cheaper than other high quality grain-free formulas. Both dogs seem to be doing very well on it.

The food prices are a bit higher, but the shipping is much lower, making the final price the best I could find.

I'm sure I'm not the only one on this list who uses such, but Petflow is a service that delivers (for a flat shipping rate) food, treats, and various toys to your door. The magic of Petflow doesn't lie in the fact that they deliver-the magic is in the fact that they have scheduled delivery-one can schedule the delivery of food every x weeks (between 2-16). This saves one from having to waltz on down to the good ole pet store. I don't know how the prices on Petflow compare to those found at pet stores, but a trip to the pet store for me means a taxi ride, so it can only be cheaper to use Petflow. I will avoid further plugging of their service, but there are a few more things that are "nifty" about Petflow, so if you want to learn more, go to their website at:

>> Now that I have angered everybody with what seems to be an emailed advertisement and now no longer have left any readers of this message, on to my original point. I have decided to switch Bailey to Annova Evo Red Meat Formula (small bite). I will forego listing the ingredients/nutrition info here, but I recommend this food (or Annova's other products), as they are grain-free and contain mostly natural ingredients. I did some exhaustive comparing of many dog food labels, and found this to be the most appropriate. Does anyone have any experience with this particular brand of food or any other Annova Evo products? While I was in class at TSE, I met someone who had mentioned this food-now that I have come across it myself, it seems that it is a very healthy alternative. The only downside is the price. Any comments or opinions are welcome-I hope I made a good choice. I will provide a link to the food on Dog Food Analysis:

>> As always, I hope to hear anyone's opinions, criticisms, comments, scathing remarks, etc. regarding my decision-I will soak them up like a piece of kibble does water!
