Cindy, I am not sure how much you have read in the past.

My husband was going to be in the observation area with the dog, and my family would have helped me should I have needed the help in the water.

Again, I am still working on this, and have responded again and again, that the dog was not going to be in the water with me.

But the Department of Agriculture and the Tourism Board is working on this.

Again, I agree, since I had to have health certificates with me at all times, showing the dogs health records, this should have been enough.

Again, this is just an update on the issue.

Remember we can change here in the US but outside our country may not be as easy.  The Bahamas is not part of the USA, they are an independent country, but again, I will post when I have more information on the issues.

  That policy seems unjust given that the animals are treated. It is a little like our zoo encounters before. Of course there is the issue that the zoo thing was Kansas and you are talking Bohamas. If you have up-to-date health certificates, that should be guarantee. Would there be any reason to take the dog into the water? I have never been on such an excursion.
