I wasn't gripping about anything, I was posting an update of what happened on my trip to the Bahamas, and reporting to the NAGDU list, actually this was an update, I also posted this to my travel and tourism division website.
I am a travel agent, and a guide dog users, gripping really, wow!!
I have been a loyal member of this division for years, and not happy with that last posting.
Leaving and coming back and wondering if it is all worth posting anything to this list.
You all want to know what is and isn't accessible, and no we can't change what people in other countries do, it is there country, they same with religious beliefs. I think many people think because they have a dog they can do what they like.
I was doing my job reporting issues about what went on when I traveled with my guide dog, other than the issues with the Dolphin Encounter shore excursion, we had a marvelous time in the Bahamas and on the cruise.
Hope you all have a Happy New Year!

The example Sheila gives of a dog wandering around a business is a good example of this. If we don't want to be denied access, we have to make sure that our guides are clean, quiet, and not disruptive to the goings-on of the establishment.

I think it's more that there are people who will find fault with every single thing that happens to them. You know, the kind of people for whom nothing is good enough. People who will have fifteen refusals in a year, living in a big city where most other people are lucky to have two or three.

I know of someone that would take a guide dog and let it walk around because oh It likes to see everyone but I was told by an employee of a buisness that the dog took off out of the door and she had to go catch the dog. They wondered why I didn't let my dog wander and I told them it was improper behavior and not to accept improper behavior like that.
