[nagdu] Input in matching

Hi, Jeff,

My name is Deb Jock. I just got my 4th dog from TSe in July. She was a
yellow lab female named Olympia. Unfortunately, I had to return her Sunday.
John Bertram, who I think will be teaching in your class, picked her up
Sunday night and took her back. There were some anxiety issues and some out
of harness behavior we couldn't correct. She was a great worker. Here is
my advice to you.

First of all, be very honest with your trainer about how much you walk.
Some people think it makes them look bad to say they don't walk much. If
you do that's great but if you don't let them know. Also, since this is
your first dog be open-minded about breed and whether you want a male or
female. That always widens your choices.

I hope that helps some.

Deb Jock

On Saturday I go to TSE to get my first dog. I'm way excited. Do you guys
have any advice for me, so that I can get a good match?
Thanks

Jeff

with me. I had my doubts about Bogart after the first week. My doubts were
increased when they talked to me about how the dogs will bond and get better
and they wouldn't send me home with a dog that wasn't going to work. I had
never, until that point, thought about going home without a dog. :)

some more challenging behaviour with coming when he's called, walking away
from me when I go to put his leash on to go out, etc but I think I just need
to do more obedience work at home.
