Dan, I agree and I honestly believe I tend to use the right instead of the
left..it just seems to be a little more natural this way.  I wonder if a
blind person was ever consulted on this stance/smile!

You're probably right, Steve, but after working with a dog he gets used to
your way of doing this and as I said, I honestly don't remember which is
first when I'm at a curb.
I think, in my case, it varies from curb to curb.

I remember the lectures at LD about the master's position, though.

I suppose we all get sloppy and do things a little differently, at lest I
do.
