Dear Jordan Gallacher,

Thank you for your email. I am sorry for any inconveniences you encountered
while onboard.

Because a service animal occupies its owner and must be able to be
accommodated with the owner at a table, it is possible that there is not
enough room at a particular dinner seating. This is the same as if multiple
people within a party cannot be accommodated in the car.

Amtrak is permitted to ask passengers about the status of their service
animal and the specific task/service it performs for its owner. This is in
accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. More information about
out policies can be found at the following link:

Message:
Hello, I was denyed access to the dining car on Amtrak 19 on Friday, October
29th, on the basis of there is not enough room in the dining car. If I did
not have the guide dog, I would have been able to access the dining car.
That is a vioilation of the ADA and Amtrak's policy about service animals.
Also, If asked, please provide information as to what type of service your
animal performs, is not legal to be asked. All that can be asked is that
animal a service animal. Sincerely, Jordan Gallacher
