WOW! I was not going to get into this one but after listening to Lyn,Julie ,
Michael and a few others on both sides, I decided to throw my 2 cents in.
First of all, I would like to say that if my finances were different at this
time, I would be a member of the NFB and NAGDU as I really enjoy this list
and have learned so much. I feel that it is like a "family". I agree that
Marion is a wonderful person and he has helped me in the past. Until I can
afford a membership,I will just have to be happy to be on this list. That
said, I do not always agree with every thing in the NFB. I do how ever have
my own opinions and some time express them . I feel that it is good to be
able to have these discussions. I can not afford to travel to the
Convention,so I don't have to worry about leaving my dog anywhere. After
hearing both sides, and knowing there have been prior problems with dogs
left unattended, and the good room rates and the fact that any Hotel is
willing to host said convention, I kind of agree that this policy is in
place for the greater good of all. So that all can enjoy the convention and
that there will future conventions. I wish they would have one in Arizona so
I could attend.Shaman and I are a young team,that is the dog is young.Me,
not so much. I truly do not know if he would act up if left in a room
unattended. I would not leave him unattended for that reason. Like I said,
these discussions are good and maybe someone will come up with a solution
that every one can live with. Just my 2 cents worth. Mardi and Shaman and
Nala,retired.
