Hello to Listers.
For those that are neww and don't know my history I will give a little background.
Because of multiple life threatening health events since 2001 I have failed twice in being able to enter training for what would have been my third guide dog.
I was able to get to both campuses of GDB in California and Oregon, but didn't have what it took strength wise to go through training.
Home training I learned about on this list serve a long time ago, and decided after a marked improvement in my issues to apply for home training with GDB again.
Today, at 4 P.M. I received a call from Lorie head of admissions saying was accepted for home training.
My last dog K-Bear I had for 13 yearsss from GDB.
The school will now start looking for a dog for me.
I did ask for a Yellow Lab if possible, because my other two dogs were Yellows as well.
I hope I can stand up to the training?
I think I can, I have improved a great deal, but I have thought that before.
This says a lot I think for GDB.
