Dear Guide Dogs for the Blind Alumni,

Have you and your guide dog been victims of an attack from a loose dog?
Would you like to learn about laws that protect us from these attacks? Would
you like to educate your local law enforcement with confidence about this
serious, underaddressed issue?

Join GDB Handlers of the Northeast on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 4:00 PM PDT /
7:00 PM EDT, as we welcome Emily Simone, GDB Field Service Manager for
Central California and Colorado, and advocate for guide dog protection laws,
as we discuss this very issue.

The Alumni Association Board of Directors has taken guide dog protection on
as a campaign, and it is up to us, the over 2000 alumni of Guide Dogs for
the Blind, to make law enforcement and others aware of this very serious
issue. Emily will share with us ideas on how to do this, as well as what we
can do in the event our dogs are attacked, and even how to prevent attacks.
