[nagdu] freelance classes?

Freelance means different things at different schools. At GDB, it means
you tell your instructor your general plan for your route, then you take
off and do it. The instructors are in the general area, but not right
with you, so you get an idea of how you and your new dog will work on your
own. I love that part, but some people have trouble figuring out what
they want to do.
At TSE, freelance means you tell your instructor things you want to work
on, and then the instructor helps you with that. For instance, I wanted
to work with Ben on offset street crossings, so we found several and
worked on them. I wanted to see how he was around squirrels, so we walked
through the park. It was more structured than freelance at GDB, but quite
useful.
