Sometimes, while the counselors may or may not know these things, they are busy enough that they don't think of it, or they are thinking inside the box. Maybe the place you would want to have training would be a better fit for you. You know that; the counselor does not. In almost everything we do today, the world is consumer driven, not expert driven so much. Counselors are specialists in what they do only up to a point. But they can do only so much; they are dealing with a lot of cases; they have only the same 24 hours in a day; just doing the same ole same ole doesnt rock the boat and is the path of least resistance. If we don't call them into question, they will always not rock the boat and will always take the path of least resistance.
