[nagdu] First person to Use Seeing eye dog in US

He was the first to use a guide dog that was trained here!  But like 
anything else, there were probably folks experimenting with them for years! 
After all, they had been using them is some fashion in Europe for a couple 
of hundred years!  Not necessarily threw schools or anything like that but 
as self trained or semitrained dogs that would do a few things and probably 
had commands only specific to them and there owners.  But Morris got famous 
and helped start and basically revolutiionallize the practice.  Sort of like 
using the screen reading programs.  Some folks just thaught it was neat to 
use them.  Next, we found out we needed them and worked on making them 
better and better.  NNow, they are competative and jocky in the companies to 
improve over the other companies!  This is still happening with guide dogs 
hence the number and types of schools out there!  Cheryl, I am finding your 
posts on travel really interesting!  Although I'll never take a dog to any 
of the islands, I may have occassion to take one into Canada!  Thanks!
