hi, all,
Yesterday morning before Odie and I went off to the bowling alley, I 
definitely took advantage of the cool morning weather and brushed 
four-legged furry partner outtdoors.
It was a little breezy, so the air helpped blow off some of the loose hair.
That time around, I ended up having to empty off the slicker brush five 
times at least with lathering Odie up really well so he'd smell frush and 
his coat would look shiny.
I brushed him up a while ago again only having to empty the brush off 
probably three times less than yesterday morning.
I think Odie and I are both ready for some cooler weather here in Colorado 
as much as everyone else is.
He enjoys being brushed lots and it definitely helps prevent the iching.
Odie will immediately come to me or Dale and let us both know if he has the 
iches.
I have to admit the last time I brushed him which was probably a month or so 
ago, he'd stretched himself out really long and breathed lightly while 
relaxing.
During grooming time however, he was so relaxed that he actually drooled on 
my foot and yes, it was wet and hot.
Dale said it was happy doggy drool as it turned out Odie had his mouth 
opened wide, smiling happily.
Normally, dale has been the one who'd take Odie outtside first thing in the 
morning and brush him down.
Yes, I still do help out with his care at times since he's our four-legged 
furry partner/son along with being an important member of the family.
I may definitely look into the shed pal that some guide dog users have 
talked about as I'm curious to see how much more hair it can get off and if 
the process goes a lot more smoothly too.
Odie's grandfather, my father picked up some more Beneful Healthy Radiance 
for him as I asked if there was a way he could get me out to Petsmart or 
Petco.
Instead, he went and picked it up himself.
I wanted to pay him back, but he and my stepmother Susan said it wasn't 
necessary that Dale and I could use the extra money on ourselves and Odie 
too.
If anything, I may have Dale go out with me to get Odie some more doggy 
toothpaste and a whole new teeth cleanning kit.
That will definitely be needed.
