[nagdu] my adventure without my cane

Rebeka,

Yes, I am with you all the way. There are occasions that I use neither
cane or dog, but it is for practicality, not proving anything. Perhaps
it's how we view the cane? I don't feel embarrassed or inferior when
using it, so I feel no need to prove I can get around without it. I
don't know. I also became blind as an adult and was introduced to the
cane as a primary mobility tool. I have never attended a school or
training program that expected or encouraged the "look Ma no hands"
approach.
