Yeah I know what you are talking about, I have a telescoping one that I
really like to carry with me so I'll stick with that one for know and I have
a folding cane that I think I'll stick by the door ... now if I can only
find my telescopic cane, I let my fussy toddler play with it the other day
and now it's missing ... in the toilet, refridgerator, oooh hopefully he
didn't throw it in the trash ... *off to search the trash!!*

I use one from Ambutek, I think it is made from titanium and the tip is a
marshmellow.
It doesn't telescope but does fold.
This help?

Are there any folding canes though that have the metal tips?? I don't like
the plastic tips, the sound is just weird for me!

Hi, Peggy,
Honestly, I can't speak for others on what works best for them, but a direct
folding cane works better for me as it doesn't collaps while I'm out on
route.
Others may find the telescoping cane more of their liking since it slips
more easily in a purse or back pack and can be reached more quickly.
