Hi BiBi
Hope Odie will be ok with his nail. Just before I retired Parker I was on the bus going to GDF to meet a friend and we were taking another friend to the airport. When I got off the bus the driver said your dog is limping . I said when I got on she wasn't. the bus driver did stop short and Parker did go flying. I think she might have tried to stop by putting her paws forward and cracked her nail but i didn't know it until the next day. I asked some one at GDF to check her paw. they didn't see anything. I asked my friends . they didn't see anything. at the airport she was limping . I call me vet the next day and brought her in . Her nail was cracked down the middle. the vet said it is very painful. They cut her nail to the quick , bandaged it and had to put a sock on it with plastic since there was snow on the ground. she was on pain meds and antibiotic and it cost me 300 dollars.
