[nagdu] switching schools

I really hope that you're doing good research on the school you would
like to attend. I can tell you from my observations, talking to
representatives of the different schools as well as having spoken to
former guide owners from those schools my opinion is that both schools
you mentioned would be close to the botom of my list, particularly
Pilot. Now, I'm probably offending some Pilot grads and/or staff who
see the place as an excellent training center and the dogs as
excellently behaved and the training to be adequate, but this hasn't
been my observation. I picked schools on my list to apply to when I
applied to get Abbie based on several factors, and Leader and Pilot
didn't even come into the picture as places that I would remotely want
to get trained. I would choose Seeing Eye, GDB (either campus), or
Guiding Eyes for the Blind. Those are my three and will remain so
unless something changes in the way they run their training, the way
they are operated and the success rate they have with their dogs. My
personal opinions only, and everyone has their choice of schools. I'm
just not the type of person to believe in coincidences and I've seen
more badly behaved dogs and owners without sufficient training come
out of Pilot than I have from just about any place else.

Thanks.
