[nagdu] some advice

Bibi,

That's so awesome! I am very fortunate in my house mates, both of them,
and especially the one who is now a lifelong friend and partner. Mitzi
is happy and adored, and that is so great. With poodles, especially,
because of their sensitive little temperaments, one does need a stable
and well-balanced, easy-going home environment to keep the poodle happy
and well-balanced. I am so glad to have that for Mitzi in a shared
household. And me, too. /smile/ Dd's only fault is that he is
occasionally too protective of both of us, and sometimes I will have to
be firm on that score. /smile/ Now that he is at home and only plans to
go back to work part-time, we can enjoy doing things together, which is
nice for getting out and about. But I think I should be able to start
scraping together spare change for the bus/train... With our huge rise
in homelessness in whole metro area and the angry nature of the
homeless who were productive middle-class families one day and on the
streets the next, he has real concerns about the nature of the bus
riding and general population we would be moving around and with and
through on independent forays... I can't say I'm not concerned, too,
but ... My belief is that being aware of possible dangers and preparing
for them is key if you must face them. I can't just stay home in hiding
because something bad *might* happen. I am really debating how to plan
and conduct my travels before I am able to get an iPhone. I see it these
days as an essential safety tool, and also a means of getting recourse
if I do end up needing it. I would rather travel in a safe, civilized
urban environment, but that is not what we have now. We did, but now we
don't. Sigh. So there will be many discussions about safety, I am sure.
And grumbling when I go out anyway, with his darling poodle, at
that. /lol/
