Hi, Nat,
Thankfully, I've never experienced any type of humiliation myself, but if I 
was told to remove the harness, I'd gladly not do it and let the TSA staff 
have the job of chasing down my dog.
After recovering a runaway labrador, I'd hope they think twice about doing 
something so dumb like that the next time around.
