Well, Buddy, first of all, not sure I'd give the dog to family at all. Yes, I think you do have something to say about it if you are paying expenses; if you are paying expenses, then you should know if they have been out of Heart Guard, too, and if they are off it that long they usually have to be tested again, don't they? I think the situation is a little bit, or may be lot, irresponsible on their part and I think you are right to take her back. If it was someone you had checked out and then just turned the dog to no strings attached, then it might be different up to a point anyway. You would have to trust them; clearly under these circumstances they have given you no reason to trust them.
