[nagdu] I need some advice/help

Rebecca,

With all due respect, I think your coming across a bit harsh here. I am on
several guide dog related lists, the person in question does use a computer,
and does know how to sign up for the list. I have no doubt in my mind that
the person in question, doesn't want to join our list, but just has not had
the time. Honestly whatever the reason she hasn't signed up is none of our
business, maybe there was a family emergency, health issues, storms, who
knows, who cares. 

Laura, did the right thing on her friends behalf. She did not give
information that would have identified her in any way. 

Lets not make assumptions on why or why not a person has joined our list. If
the person wants to come and join, knowing that we discussed her situation,
because I know that Laura told her friend that she was going to get other
opinions. And then we say, this and that about her or him, its not nice, and
she will not feel comfortable here.

Computers are everywhere. This list is the perfect place for her. Fine if
she isn't interested, but don't excuse the behavior, just say "no, she isn't
interested".
Bottom line, given the seriousness of this issue, she could get on the list
if she really wanted to.
