[nagdu] an update on my friend

Laurel,

Not so much of a pray-er, but I will send warm thoughts and best wishes. 
I am so sorry she is continuing to have bad experience. When you're 
already having a big problem that is heartbreaking -- or even a set of 
such problems -- the last thing you need is to hear from the people who 
will kick you while you're down. Been there, done that, I'm afraid. 
Being the kicked, I mean. Not the kicker. When you're already down, I 
noted at the time, it is difficult to absorb fresh kicks and retain 
one's equilibrium. Ugh!

I am glad that you are a friend to her. You can't fix it, but knowing 
your friends are still your friends at a time like that makes a world of 
difference!
