Tracy, that is amazing!  One of my good friends had his Leader Dog live to
be 17.5, and she was no longer a yellow lab, but rather quite white, but
still a wonderful old girl:)  Congratulations and happy birthday to your
pup:)

Yesterday, my retired guide Echo turned 17!  My husband and I think she
might be the oldest labrador in the world! My husband says her black face is
almost all white now.
She's not the bouncy, waggy girl she used to be, but she still seems to
enjoy her life.  She snarfed up her birthday hard-boiled egg with great
enthusiasm, and her doggy Oreo, too.  It's not easy taking care of such an
old dog, but it's good to still have the old girl around.
