[nagdu] Registering my dog as a certified therapy dog?

I just called the school and this is what they said.

They said that I should tell the trainers, and let them know while I
am in my class.
She also said that since it is the beginning of our companionship,
that it would be a good idea to leave the dog on tie down for a while
and that it is not a good idea to start out with the dog as a tharopy
dog and it could confuse it. I had thought about this too. And putting
the dog on tie down in an office or something would help keep the
residence from trying to pet it. This would be continued if my dog
doesn't have the right attitude for the job.
She said that a lot of people do this and it is ok, just make sure
that I give time to bond with my dog and keep just the guiding as its
only thing at first so it doesn't get confused. She said that most
people don't do this until after a long while of having the dog.
She was very opened up with the idea just have to make sure I put
guiding first and she said that the dog is my guide, and to remember I
will be the one working with the people, not my dog but it is an ok
thing to get it sertified.
