[nagdu] amusement parks?

Hi Chantel and others,
I haven't read a lot of other people's comments on this thread, but I just wanted to share my experience with taking Pascal to Amusement Parks.
I live about half an hour from a thrill park in Cincinnati called King's Island, and I have held a season pass for the last two years. I have never taken Pascal to King's Island because it was just easier to leave him at home, where he was safe. I also worried that it was too hot, there wouldn't be places to relieve him, and that he would get stepped on by the crowd.

But, when I traveled to the NFB National Convention in Orlando, I made last minute plans to go to Universal Studios. I didn't want to leave him in the hotel all day, so I brought him with me. I knew the ground would be hot, so I packed his booties, to protect his feet. Even with them on, he was really feeling the heat by the mid afternoon. We all got miserably hot. Pascal had plenty of opportunities to drink water, but by mid afternoon he was so tired that he didn't even want to drink anymore. By around 2 PM we were exhausted from the heat, and luckily a security officer gave us a ride back to the front of the park. We hung out at Bubba Gump's Restaurant, where it was air conditioned, until our bus came back at 5:00. We were all miserable, and the rides were dissapionting. We were glad to be back at the hotel.  I am glad I got the experience, but I don't think I would take Pascal back to an Amusement Park. It was just way too crowded and hot in July.

Hope this helps.
Deanna and Pascal

Hi all,

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but how do you go to an amusement
park with your guide dog?
