[nagdu] question about chest pad

Hello all, 

 

I've already emailed Pilot Dogs about this, but I wanted you all's input as
well. 

 

Because Motley tends to pull me very hard when we're somewhere new, I've
been instructed by Pilot to go ahead an use his chest pad until he learns
that his gentle pull he uses in my neighborhood is also needed everywhere
else we go. 

 

My question is this, should I keep connecting his chest pad to the harness
before I head out like I've been doing, or, should I wait till I get to my
destination and then connect it?
