Hello Matt,
Not sure if I have introduced myself to you yet. I'm a college student
in California with Anise. Anise is a female black lab from Guide Dogs
For The Blind. This school grants ownership after a year of receiving
your dog. The only reason why they don't grant ownership immediately
is to ensure that the match between handler and dog will work well.
Guide Dogs For The Blind offers two week programs of training which is
what I did, and it worked out well for me. Guide Dogs For The Blind
also does in home training if you request it. They also offer
financial vet assistance. I know that picking the right school is
hard. I too had my doubts, but finally, I settled upon Guide Dogs For
The Blind. I hope you find a school soon.
