I think the schools try very hard to give you the dogs you want and to match you well with dogs. It doesn't lways work out. This doesn't mean that no dog will work; I went through a period myself during which I wondered if I was just not to have a dog. But matching dogs with people is not an exact science. I wouldn't worry a lot about it but, rather, once I was accepted to get a dog, I would just funnel my energies into that experience. It is an awesome experience when you meet your new dog, and there are a lot of wonderful moments during the lifetime of your partnership with that dog.
